Dr. Theresa Pirraglia Working With Manhattan College and Fordham U Athletes


Dr. Theresa L. Pirraglia of Pirraglia Chiropractic has joined the team of sports medicine professionals at Manhattan College and serves in the role of Team Chiropractor with a specialty in Active Release Techniques (A.R.T.). Dr. Pirraglia is certified in A.R.T, a form of soft tissue mobilization, which has proven to be very successful in the treatment of various musculoskeletal and sports related injuries.


She works very closely with Director of Sports Medicine Douglas Straley MS, ATC, CSCS and Assistant Director of Sports Medicine Andrew Cornicello MS, ATC. Dr. Pirraglia has

already made a significant contribution to the recovery of many student athletes and truly enjoys the challenge of working with MAC-Division 1 athletes. She is also the Team Chiropractor of Manhattan College’s rival school, Fordham University.

specialists at Fordham University and serves in the role of Team Chiropractor with a specialty in Active Release Technique (A.R.T.). Dr. Pirraglia is certified in A.R.T., a form of soft tissue mobilization, which has proven to be very successful in the treatment of various musculoskeletal and sports related injuries. According to Head Athletic Trainer and Team Physical Therapist Vincent Porricelli, Dr. Pirraglia has already made a significant contribution to the recovery of dozens of their Division I student athletes on several different teams: including the men’s and women’s track teams, basketball teams, crew, softball and baseball. She has also successfully treated many local golfers with neck, shoulder, and low back pain utilizing A.R.T.





Dr. Theresa Pirraglia, a chiropractor with Pirraglia Chiropractic located at 1 Radison Plaza, New Rochelle, spent U.S. Open Week at Winged foot Golf Club, ministering to club members, staff, and guests who needed her services. Dr. Pirraglia is a certified practitioner of “Active Release Technique,” which treats problems with muscles, tendons, ligaments, and nerves. During the Open, she also consulted with other medical staff. Dr. Pirraglia’s services are available at Winged Foot during various golf outings; she offers golf biomechanics to golfers before they begin play so that the game may be as painless as possible.
